All hymns are from the Trinity Hymnal and Trinity Psalter
Lord's Day Worship
We encourage you to use the moments preceding the commencement of Holy Worship in quiet meditation and preparation. Toward that end, we offer the prayer below as food for thought
Prayer for Silent Meditation
In confidence of Thy goodness and great mercy, O Lord, I draw near unto Thee, as a sick man to the healer, as one hungry and thirsty to the fountain of life, a creature to the Creator, a desolate soul to my own tender Comforter. Behold, in Thee is all whatsoever I can or ought to desire; Thou art my salvation and my redemption, my hope and my strength. Rejoice therefore the soul of thy servant; for unto Thee, O Lord, have I lifted up my soul. Amen. Thomas a Kempis, AD 1380-1471
Greetings and Announcements

People: And grace be with you.
Call to Worship: Psalm 143, #837 - 8

Prayer of Confession
Hear our prayer, O Lord, and listen to our groanings, for we acknowledge our iniquities, and lay open our sins before You. Against You, O God, have we sinned; to You we make our confession, and implore forgiveness. Turn Your face again, O Lord, upon Your servants whom You have redeemed with Your own blood. Spare us, we pray, and assure pardon to our sins, and be pleased to extend to us Your loving-kindness and Your mercy. Amen.
Mozarbic Liturgy

If you, O Lord, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand? But with
you there is forgiveness; therefore You are feared. Psalm 130:3,4

Prayer for the Sermon
Grant, O God, that by Thy help we may be doers of the Word proclaimed here today, and not hearers only. Let not the light that is in us be turned to darkness, but, walking in the light, may we let our light so shine before men that they may see our good works and glorify Thee. Thus may Thy Spirit lead us into more and more truth, and may we be faithful witnesses of the truth in word and deed. May our lives continue the acts of Thy apostles. Make us ourselves Thy living epistles, fit to be known and read of men, enlightening them and persuading them to be reconciled to Thee, even as Thou hast reconciled us to Thyself in Christ. Amen. Prayer of Thanksgiving
Almighty God, Heavenly Father, even as our Lord Jesus Christ, after having once offered his body and blood upon the cross for the forgiveness of our sins, has also destined them to us as nourishment for eternal life, so grant us of thy goodness, that we may receive this great blessing with true sincerity of heart and ardent desire. Endued with sure faith, let us enjoy together his body and blood, and himself entire, just as he himself, while he is true God and man, is truly the holy bread of heaven that gives us life, that we may no longer live in ourselves and after our own will, which is altogether depraved. But may he live in us, and conduct us to a holy, happy, and everlasting life, thus making us truly partakers of the new and eternal covenant of grace. Fit us, then, on this day thus to celebrate the happy remembrance of thy Son. Grant also that we may exercise ourselves therein, and proclaim the benefits of his death, that thus receiving new increase and strength for faith and every other good work, we may with greater confidence profess ourselves thy children, and glory in thee our Father. Amen. Adapted from John Calvin’s Forms of Prayer for the Church, which became the prototype for the churches of Geneva, AD 1549
